As marketers, we spend our time and resources developing and optimizing connection plans to target the audience we feel will be best suited for our offer – whether it be services or products.  But what media is deemed a source of trust by leaders and consumers?  

In this Real Talk Conversation, we want to foster discussion with one another about what mediums we as marketers and consumers gravitate toward when we are in a state of need or want.  We will use a panel discussion of leaders from different generations to help catalyze our thinking and offer unique perspectives on the mediums they see as “sources of trust.”  Does a leader of the Boomer generation find Tik Tok a relevant channel?  Does a member of the Millennial cohort consider an Op-Ed or a standard 30-sec commercial as a motivating medium?  

Let this be a catalyst for our collective discussion together as we meet and mingle and form new relationships.

Nancy Korsah, CEO of Black Business Enterprises LLC

Nancy was born and raised in Italy to Ghanian parents. While in Italy, her family was among the super minority living in a town that was 99.8% white, she struggled to find her identity and struggled to belong. When she moved to the US she was welcomed by the African American community that helped shape her and her views, this inspired her mission to help the community that welcomed her and inspired her. Nancy has a background in Aviation, Banking and has many other talents, but her main focus and priority is to foster black economics and help the black communities across the US thrive through BBE.


Krista Carroll, Co-Founder, and CEO of Latitude

Krista is passionate about setting the stage for others to reach their full potential and she believes that business should be a platform to propel others forward. Since founding Latitude in 2009 she has been passionately challenging her team at Latitude to do the very best for clients and in turn earning the privilege to invest 50% of Latitude’s profits in programs around the globe that are empowering people lacking opportunity. As a purpose-driven CEO, Krista is grateful for others who are driven to use their talents to make this world a more just and loving place.


Khalique Rogers, Founder of Good Riddance Consulting

Founder of Good Riddance Consulting, Khalique is a Social entrepreneur who works on social impact initiatives within the Twin Cities. He focuses on amplifying the voices of community, organizations, and business through a Data drive-human approach. Khalique also is a skilled facilitator, keynote speaker, storyteller, and writer. Aaron Eggert,Founder + Chief Vision OfficerFounder + Chief Vision Officer, Coalition9

This Minnesota professional has a history of turning small business into big business and connecting the brains of the Twin Cities community. With roles in several businesses as both an advisor and investor,  co-founding a non-profit called Minneapolis HOPE, and proof of his incredible ability to grow an organization – it isn’t hard to believe that he has a knack for initiating and maintaining great relationships and great business. Aaron made his first major break-through at an office products distributor when he broke the first three years sales record that had been in place longer than he had been alive. Then, at age 29 he became Vice President of Sales leading the company into more profit and took a mediocre office furnishings division from bland to booming in 2 short years. That’s when he was noticed and recruited to join iSpace Environments as a Partner, which at the time was a medium sized office furnishings business. In 5 years, Aaron and his team led the company to 270% growth through brand awareness, strategic planning, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. He believes that his success is about being genuine in his desire to understand his client’s business with the passion to connect and to be a resource to others.


David Denham, Managing Director, Latitude (moderator)

David is an experienced marketing leader with a history of working across multiple competencies and industries. Skilled in Brand Strategy, Integrated Marketing Programs, Digital Strategy, Market Research, Team Management, Sales Strategy, and Business Development. Often engaged to facilitate training in Solution Selling Skills, Advanced Presentation Skills, and Workshop Facilitation Skills.



Phil Johnson

Phil spent 40 years as a consultant in the Marketing and communications industry helping brands in a variety of sectors with their overall marketing strategy and execution.  He spent 33 years at Colle McVoy, one of the most tenured advertising agencies in Minneapolis, and was instrumental in creating and sustaining a 25+ year partnership with CHS and Land O’Lakes while also serving as an executive partner to clients and developing the skills and talents of agency personnel.  As a no-nonsense leader with a common-sense approach, Phil’s successful career can be summarized by embracing change and being comfortable in the uncomfortable space that is growth.  Phil brings a well-earned perspective to our discussion about how marketing can be a source of trust for consumers.
